Telkom joins Youth Owned Brand Awards as sponsor of the technology category

Telecommunications giant Telkom has joined Youth Owned Brands Awards as a sponsor for the technology category of the awards.

Telkom joins other leading institutions that have come on board this year to support these awards that are increasingly attracting a lot of interest from brands started and led by young South African entrepreneurs since they were started just under three years ago by young marker Pat Mahlangu of Pat on Brands. Other category sponsors include Wits Business School, with Standard Bank as the title sponsor.

This year, this is the second year in which brands that have demonstrated excellence in the market are being awarded.

Telkom continues to be an ally of celebrating and honouring young people for the work that they do in cyberspace. They believe in the criticality of supporting youth-owned brands across South Africa, hence the partnership with the Top 16 Youth-Owned Brands Awards. Visibility and accessibility of youth to the necessary tools is requisite to building and driving growth of their business and growth in South Africa.
